Christian Stoneman is a sales director and salesperson specializing in reputation, brand, and crisis management. He has managed teams of more than 40 individuals and helped several companies to grow their businesses. He also understands how to develop long-term client relationships. He is vice president of sales at NetReputation.com, the No.1 ranked reputation management company. He lives in Lyn, Ontario, Canada.

Current Role

Stoneman was appointed vice president of sales at NetReputation in January 2023. In this role, he leads a sales team that develops strategies to increase the company's sales. NetReputation provides online reputation management, crisis management, and content removal services for individuals and corporations. NetReputation's clients are in various industries, including legal, construction, retail, senior living, automotive, healthcare, and cryptocurrency. Newsweek.com and NeilPatel.com have named it the best global online reputation management company for two straight years. Inc also has named NetReputation to its list of fastest-growing private companies, and Clutch named it to its Global list of Top 1000 companies for 2022.

Previous Roles

Before being appointed to lead the NetReputation sales team, Stoneman was the sales director at Erase.com, which helped people remove negative online information. Stoneman served in that role for over six years, creating a new sales training program with goals and development targets and three new sales roles. He also served as a reputation consultant for two years before employment at Erase.com.

Previously, Christian Stoneman was a regional personal training director for World Gym Tri-City, responsible for growing the company's personal training clientele. He owned a supplement and nutrition store, was an account manager for a nutritional food company, and was a sales representative.

Philosophy

Stoneman is passionate about sales for two reasons. He enjoys connecting with people. He also loves sales because the profession enables him to help people by providing them with a service they need or a solution to a problem they are experiencing.

Christian Stoneman believes the key to successful account management is understanding the customer's needs and consistently delivering an excellent customer experience based on that need. Companies should build long-lasting customer relationships and provide compassionate, personalized support, especially when helping clients manage their reputations.

Stoneman is also passionate about the reputation management industry. He believes reputation management is critical for businesses and individuals. Negative content can seriously impact business success or an individual's ability to find jobs. Positive content, on the other hand, can grow the business. He believes companies can manage negative feedback by 

  • Remaining vigilant and responsive

  • Seeing events from the customer's perspective and being willing to apologize if necessary

  • Taking the time to develop a good response to negative comments

  • Avoid being defensive or the need to always have the last word

  • Following up with customers privately, especially those who have expressed concerns or negative feedback

However, Stoneman also knows reputation management can be complex because so much information is available online. Technology constantly changes, and businesses must have a comprehensive reputation management strategy.

Christian Stoneman attended Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario, where he studied business management. He is a lifelong learner who believes in honing his skills and personal growth. He has participated in the following additional educational programs:
